In 1990, the RLS bought 9 Slingsby T.67C-3 Firefly for the basic training. They replaced the eight Cessna F.152-IIs operating in this role since 1980. When in August 1991, the KLM took over the RLS and transferred it into the KLM Luchtvaartschool(KLM Flight Academy): the aircraft were repainted in the basic KLM colours.

The T.67 Firefly was a further developed Fournier RF-6. René Fournier designed his RF-6 in 1974. It was based on his earlier all-wood motor gliders with high aspect wings. He started a factory in Nitray in France especially for the RF-6. After having built 40 aircraft, he ran into financial difficulties and had to close his doors. Fournier had sold the license to Slingsby, which further developed the RF-6. The wooden construction was replaced by composite and the aircraft was made completely acrobatic. This became the T.67C of which around 250 were built. The PH-SGG was registered with KLM Luchtvaartschool BV, Eelde, was withdrawn from use in November 2001 and sold to France.

The Miles M-57 Aerovan was a short range, low-cost transporter. From 1946 till 1947 Miles built 52 examples, mainly used for freight, joy-riding and passenger services. One example was owned by Nastra Luchtreclame Services in Rotterdam and used for aerial advertising and joy-riding. In March 1959 they bought the Miles M.47 Aerovan G-AHXH, ex Island Air Charters , Jersey from Air Contractors and registered as PH-EAB. The owner of Nastra had seen an Aerovan in the UK mounted with frames on both sides of the plane. With neon letters on those frames a brandname( usually a cigarette brand) could be seen during the twilight houres. Unfortunately, the Nastra Aerovan was severely damaged during a storm in 1961 and was subsequently scrapped. The later succesful Short Aerovan was based on the Miles Aerovan with a high-aspect wing of Hurel-Dubois.

In 1953 Martin Schröder founded his first company: the Dutch Aircraft Company. He held three functions: that of owner, director and sole employee. With some Piper Cub's he started with aerial advertising under the company name Reclamair. In 1974 Reclamair moved from Hilversum airport to Lelystad Airport. In the same year the Martinair Flight Academy was founded on the new location. It started with the training of private pilots and from the mid-80s professional pilots as well. In the late nineties it started the professional training for commercial pilots and the school acquired the formally recognition of the European aviation authority .

The Diamond DA42 Twin Star is a 4-seater produced in Austria. Its airframe is made largely of composite materials. The aircraft was certified in Europe and 2005 in the USA in 2004. The original Tielert diesel engine was replaced in 2009 by the Austro E4 300 4 cylinder diesel engine, designed and manufactured by a subsidiary of Diamond. The Austro engine delivers 20% more power, while giving better fuel economy than the Tielert engine and results in a higher gross weight and increased performance. This version, the D42NG,  has an integrated Garmin G1000 with a Garmin GFC700 autopilot plus the modern instruments such as those used in the today's generation aircraft. The PH-MFA is in the Martinair fleet since October 2011

The Australian built Gippsland GA8 Airvan is a multipurpose aircraft for 4 to up to 14 passengers. Besides the GA8 Gippsland has also developed the slightly larger GA10 turboprop version. Till today over 200 are built. Kammair started in October 2006 with a single Gippsland GA8 at Rotterdam Airport. A weird choice to fly with this type as the only operator in the Netherlands. Kammair focused on pleasure flights and taxi services. One of its customers was the foundation Stichting Hoogvliegers, which organizes pleasure flights with sick and disabled children. Kammair has not become really successful. In 2011 it ceased its activities and the PH KMR was sold to the foundation Stichting Hoogvliegers. It was painted in bright colors and fly from Lelystad Airport since.
