In 1976 Transavia Holland placed an order at Airbus Industries for one Airbus A300B4 for delivery in April 1977. In the meantime one leased from 06.05.1976 till 18.01.1977 the Airbus A300B2 from Airbus Industries. The capacity of the type turned out to be too large for a flexible using. The order was cancelled and the PH-TVL went back to Airbus Industries. It was sold to Air Inter and at the end scrapped in 2000. Remarkable is the distinctive painting. The font on the fuselage for Transavia Holland was only applied for the PH-TVL.

Jet Link Holland was founded in 1991 as a cargo airline at Amsterdam, Schiphol Airport. Due to the Gulf War, it was not possible to start operations until June 1998 with a single Airbus A300 with flights to China, Japan and the US. In August 1998, Jet Link Holland planned to operate flights between Amsterdam, Cairo and Tripoli, but that was only possible with a plane registered in Egypt. Before that, the Egyptian subsidiary Tristar Air was established, which took care of the connection Cairo with Amsterdam and Tripoli with a single A300. In March 2000, the Dutch civil aviation authorities decided that Jet Link's A300 did not comply with the regulations and the AOP, air operator's certificate was suspended. Jet Link was unable to resolve the problems and was declared bankrupt in June. The Egyptian subsidiary Tristar Air continued to operate flights between Cairo, Tripoli and Amsterdam until it too had to cease operations in 2015.

Dutchbird was founded in 2000 by touroperator Sudtours to compete with KLM subsidiaries Transavia and Martinair. DutchBird distinguished itself as an airline by the extensive service on board, and in its existence it won three times the prize for best Dutch charter airline. Nevertheless, DutchBird did not succeed in acquiring contracts from other Dutch touroperators and it continued to suffer losses. In the beginning of 2005, DutchBird went bankrupt. The fleet consisted of three Boeing 757-200 (PH-DBA, PH-DBB and PH-DBH, leased from Condor) and two Airbus A320 (PH-BMC and PH-BMD, former Sabena), used on holiday flights from Amsterdam to the Mediterranean, Egypt, Turkey, Gambia and the Canary Islands.
