The Scheibe SF-25C Falke is a two-seater motor glider built by the German Scheibe-Flugzeugbau GmbH. It is one of the most built motor gliders in the world. The Falke is an easy to fly and maintain aircraft which offers gliding clubs a cost effective alternative for training. The simple and robust composite construction is ideal for most clubs because they often have experience building and maintaining gliders themselves and have the right tools to do so. The prototype was a shoulder-decker but the flight characteristics were not great. The improved B-series was successful. The aircraft retained the "side-by-side" seating arrangement for student and instructor and received a central mainwheel with drum brake and small support wheels under the wings plus a steerable tailwheel. 373 examples were built. For the last C-series details improvements were made such as a folding wing mechanism for space-saving storage, simplified entry, controllable pitch propeller and more powerful engines. The B- series landing gear was retained. More than 1200 copies of all versionswere built, including those built under license. The PH-818 was owned by C.Quist from 1996 to 2011, flying from Hilversum Airfield The PH-944 was also owned by C.Quist from 1991 to 2004, flying from Hilversum airfield. The PH-1314 has been owned by E.Thepen since 2004 flying from Lelystad Airport
